Hey, Hello!
I'm Ivana Sumé, an Orlando family and newborn photographer specializing in calm, connection-focused sessions for families who want beautiful images without stress, pressure, or forced posing. If you’re worried your kids won’t “behave” for photos, you’re exactly who I photograph - because real moments don't come from perfection, they come from presence.
As a mom myself, I know how fast these seasons pass — and how chaotic they can feel while you’re in them. The wild toddlers. The shy moments. The constant motion. And yet these days right now - the ones that feel ordinary and exhausting - are often the good old days we'll one day look back on.
That belief shapes how I photograph families.
My sessions are designed to work with your children, not against them. No stiff poses. No “say cheese.” No pressure to perform. Just space for your family to be exactly as they are.
I take a storytelling approach to family and newborn photography, focusing on:
- Natural movement instead of posing
- Letting kids lead at their own pace
- Creating a calm environment where parents can relax
- Capturing connection, not perfection
This approach allows even the most energetic, sensitive, or strong-willed children to feel safe — and that’s when real moments unfold. That’s how sessions stay calm and how genuine images are created.
Many of my clients come to me saying they almost didn’t book photos because they were afraid their kids wouldn’t cooperate. They leave saying: “That was nothing like I expected — it felt easy and fun.” You don’t need perfect behavior for meaningful photos. You just need someone who knows how to read children, adapt in the moment, and create space for connection.
Outside of photography, I'm a boy mom to two, a Slovenian who moved across the ocean for love, and someone who feels most at home by the beach. You'll usually find me balancing family life with gym time, ocean air, and a deep trust in God, who I believe is always faithful and on time.
